KASO Plastics Injection Molding & Thermoplastic Services

KASO Plastics is a full-service precision injection molder of thermoplastics providing a cross section of molding capabilities. Our knowledge of plastics engineering, material selection and world class production capabilities have made KASO a preferred vendor. Our skilled staff ensures that high quality, close-tolerance engineered plastics are manufactured at competitive prices to your exacting standards. We also offer a full range of value-added secondary operations for decoration, welding, component assembly, machining and specialty packaging.

In-Mold Decoration

In-mold decoration, also known as film insert molding, has been a part of the KASO service offering for years, giving us hands on experience to create flawless panels, graphics, and finished surfaces. With film insert molding, the plastic is fused to a thin transparent film inside the mold to create a seamless protective surface for the most complex graphic images for multiple uses.

Fine Tolerance

Utilizing our all-electric molding machines with full servo robotics, the fine tolerance molding of your intricately detailed parts has become a staple of our business.

Over-Molding

KASO Plastics has extensive experience with insert over-molding of plastic to plastic, plastic to metal and soft touch techniques. Whether your needs are increased comfort, grip, cosmetic, strength or durability our engineering team can assist you in selecting the right materials to ensure you obtain the proper mechanical or physical bond your product needs. Quality Control

At KASO you will find quality assurance at every step of the injection molding production process. A member of our QC team will be involved with your project from start to finish. Visual checks are integrated into our assembly processes as well as automated tolerance verification. Rest assured that our commitment to constant improvement is supported by ISO documentation and ongoing communication.

Gas Assist and Structural Foam

The Gas Assist process utilizes pressurized nitrogen to strategically core out thick cross sections in your design while avoiding the typically associated cosmetic flaws. Thick sectioned designs, typically requiring structural foam or other additives, can often be converted to gas assist in order to regain the high cosmetic finishes associated with standard injection molding. Other benefits of Gas Assist include:

  • Internal Coring
  • Reduce Molded-In Stress
  • Better Design Freedom
  • Lower Cost Products

We also offer a structural foam option that can provide an excellent strength-to-weight ratio while reducing clamp tonnage and raw material usage. Both processes are commonly used for products such as door handles, large "solid" pieces, and athletic equipment. Our team can help answer your questions about gas assist and structural foam injection molding.
